1. Saguaro National Park

Named after the indigenous growing cactus that famously grows throughout the park, this massive park incorporates all the marvelous nature that Arizona has to offer. It holds hiking trails from the Rincon Mountains, up to the Tucson Mountains, and back down through the Sonoran Desert to give you a seemingly endless amount of land and trail to explore.

Saguaro Park is widely popular for visitors and therefore has many resources to offer throughout the park. Multiple visitor centers loaded with helpful information as well as shops, restrooms, and camping sites are scattered throughout the park for your convenience. Just a 15-minute drive east from Yardz on Kolb to experience spectacular hiking, riding, and views of the national park.



2. Reid Park Zoo

Stop by the Reid Park Zoo and gander at the incredible wild animals brought to you locally in Tucson. From African Elephants and Lions to Siberian Tigers and Rhinos, this zoo has all of your favorites! Reid Park offers a number of fun events throughout the year and even allows you to host your own. Birthdays are popular private events here, and the park also accommodates weddings or other gatherings.

3. Pima Air and Space Musuem

4. Old Tucson Studio and Theme Park

Take a tour of Mescal and walk through the studio production sets where a number of classic western films were shot. They also offer staged gunfights, stunt shows, comedy shows, and live musical entertainment all year round. You can also explore some of the many attractions such as the Outlaw Zipline, the Stagecoach Horse Ride, or jump in a classic antique car and take a ride around the track.

5. Kitt Peak National Observatory

This observatory provides some of the clearest astronomical views of outer space available to the general public with the use of their //. It’s a little far of a drive southwest of Tucson, but well worth the trip down there to the Quinlan Mountains. During the day, you can take guided or self-guided tours of the facilities and exhibits whiling soaking in the fascinating information. During the night, you can star gaze outer space, scan the surface of the moon, or explore the colorful Milky Way galaxy.
